Morning A La Mode

Monday, 11 July 2011

The Weekend...

Somehow the idea of doing nothing is not as motivating as spending time at Google. I hate the weekend! It’s nothing compared to working at Google. The first thing I say is morning to Claudia and the last thing I say is bye to James. I’m going to miss that! I am honored to call these two my friends. I have had such a thrilling experience last week and it has been the highlight of my learning curve. I look into my Adwords account this morning and guess what... last week’s total comes up to 486 clicks,274,706 impressions, costing £58.09. I'm not quite sure who is still paying for my account but my guess is that James is still paying! I think I’d better use that £50 voucher now. I now have a whole free week before I start my two week internship at ITV. I have the feeling that my experience at Google isn’t going to be the same at ITV! I am not quite sure with what to do with myself. My mother is going crazy with my being at home. She thinks I should help clean and cook....however, I am not a cleaner, a cook or a servant! To be honest, she misses me when I go to work but when I stay at home she's goes insane...What is it with mothers? They totally contradict themselves...but deep down they love us! This is what my weekends has come to...talking about my mother. Anyways...I bought Micheal McIntyre's Autobiography 'Life and Laughing' and I think I shall start perusing it...

Interviewing Asha

Okay, she just beat Sharon! She's fantastic...she has so much to say.

Interviewing Sharon

She's been the best person to interview...I don't want to give back my flip cam, I am having so much fun filming everyone!

Day 5...Saying Goodbye

Day 5 saying goodbye...rhymes! I am in despair of when thinking about the prospect of leaving, I cannot believe how quick this week has gone! Saying goodbye is going to be hard when I am going to miss everyone here. I have made a load of friends, and have decided to keep updating my blog. I just want to say a special Thank You to a couple of people who have done a lot for me this week and have taken the time to teach me everything they know.

First most importantly, I'd like to thank James! I'm still in awe that he trusted me enough to give the Chrome Os...I don't think I could give it back by the end of today. He must think I'm a pain because I keep pestering him. I really appreciate him taking the time to showing me around and introducing me to such thrilling characters. He introduced me to BLOGGING!!...If it wasn't for him I would have not been able to make £18.56. He has done so much for me, I really do not know how to repay him back... he even used his credit card for AdWords! I bought him little gift to show my appreciation...hope he likes it.

Last but not least, the beautiful Claudia. She's been my rock this week, she has done everything for me and I can't thank her enough for it. She is genuinely a humble person...I am definitley going to keep in touch with her, she has introduced into the Google world and has opened up opportunities for me to hopefully seeing a future here. Getting her flowers was the least I could do...she has gone from setting up meetings for me to helping me understand the concepts of Google Apps. Claudia has opened me up to the world and I really hope to stay in contact with her. I don't know how I would have survived without these two.
